Hi I'm Rachel

I am a wife and mother of three boys. I have a BA in Art History and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy cooking, movies and music. I also enjoy yoga and have recently started doing pilates.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When I went to college, I had the opportunity to really discover for myself what it was I believed, not just going to church because that's what I've always done. At college I took a class on the New Testament. The accounts of Jesus Christ's ministry on earth became so real to me. I gained a personal, spiritual witness that the gospel of Jesus Christ was true. Through other experiences at college I came to know that the true church, established by Christ in ancient days, had in fact been restored to the earth through Joseph Smith. I know that when I try to live the gospel, I am truly happy and content. Even when I make mistakes, I recognize the Lord's blessings in my life through my effort to live as He has commanded.

How I live my faith

I attend my church meetings each Sunday and try to set Sunday aside as a holy day, avoiding things that would make it common. I have personal prayer and scripture study daily. I try to help others and am willing to serve when needed. I try, with my husband, to teach the principles of the gospel to our children, principles such as faith, sacrifice, obedience and service.
