Hi I'm McKenna (鐘恩曦)

I'm an Islander, adventurer, goofball...and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a small island in the Seattle area. I am an undergraduate student at Brigham Young University in Utah. I love to run. More than anything I love being outside. I want to travel the world. I love music. I did crew/rowing, cross country, and martial arts. I also enjoy reading and writing. I have 4 siblings on earth, 1 sibling in heaven, a mom, a dad, and a dog named Coconut. I also have a sister-in-law, a niece, and a baby nephew. I love Washington because it is green and beautiful.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was born in the church I still have control over how active I am. As of now, I am fully active. I suppose that what helps me live the standards of the gospel in a world with such opposing standards is the knowledge of my purpose on this earth. The central purpose of our existence is to be tested in this life so that we can live with our Heavenly Father, His Son, and every family member and friend--perfectly for all time and eternity. He wants us to have what He has. This is what true happiness is. I will do anything it takes to earn that happiness. The gospel is the same gospel that's been on this earth since Adam and Eve; everyone's been exposed to it. This is because Heavenly Father sincerely wants us to live in with Him in His kingdom. With that knowledge I know that no matter what adversity I face in this life, no matter how awful--it can be fought through. If I live the gospel I will have eternal happiness, with everyone I have ever loved, and always will love.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by the little things I do every day: what I say, how I treat others, my actions, etc. I try to follow the commandments in the scriptures because I trust my Heavenly Father. I'm not really much different from anyone else. I just have faith in something very special--the gospel of Jesus Christ! I want others to have this too. Because of this deep desire I served an 18 month mission in Taiwan, Taipei and continue to share the gospel at every opportunity I can.
