Hi I'm Jeanine

I am a wife, full-time mom of six beautiful children, a part-time Wilton Method Instructor, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a true California girl who loves fun in the sun! And even though I now live in Aurora, Colorado, I love the outdoors; hiking, camping, walking my dogs and playing at the reservoir. I love attending my six children's sporting events, music performances, and drama shows and am my children's loudest supporter. I work with a Winter Guard helping to teach youth ages 5 - 18 how to spin flags and dance. We put on a show each year. I love seeing the accomplishments of the youth from the beginning to the end of the season. Costuming such a wide age range can always be a challenge.

Why I am a Mormon

I am proud of my Latter-day Saint heritage. My paternal grandmother joined the LDS church as a young lady in Canada; she and her parents immigrated from Ireland. She meet my Irish grandfather while he was serving a mission in her area. My maternal grandparents also grew up in the church with pioneers on both sides. I loved listening to their stories of family members who crossed the plains along the Mormon Trail. I gained a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout my life. When I was a teenager, I knew that I needed to gain a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ for myself. So I read the Book of Mormon and prayed as I read. As I sat by myself on a rock in the forest above Los Angeles, I prayed to know if what I had read was true. I was filled with a feeling of peace and love. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and that I am a daughter of God.

How I live my faith

Even though I feel very inadequate, I am currently serving as a Sunday School teacher for the adults of our congregation. I spend time studying the scriptures each day trying to learn from the lessons that are taught within and to heed the words of the ancient prophets. I also try to obey the words of our current prophet, President Thomas S Monson. As a mother I try to be an example to my children and teach them correct gospel principle of faith, repentance, forgiveness, obedience, respect, prayer, seeking knowledge and truth for themselves.
