Hi I'm Malia.

My family is my life. I enjoy singing, listening to music, playing cello, and babysitting my neices and nephews, & I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a few different little towns in Arizona and then moved back to Utah. I am currently back in Arizona for college and am loving life. My family helped me get to where i am today because of their love for all. Of course there have always been bumps along the road, but my philosophy is that you just have to be able to make the bumpy-ride fun and enjoyable. Other than being a member of the LDS Church and adoring my family, my love is nothing but music. I sing and play the cello, was in a Polynesian dance group for 3 years, and I LOVE listening to music. Being a Mormon provides inner peace that sometimes my family and my music cannot provide. I love life! I also love camping, fishing, and horseback riding. People say that being from Utah, I was born to live in the cold, but I have lived in Arizona majority of my life and each for his own; I LOVE being warm and prefer warmth over cold ANY DAY of the year (excluding Christmas)!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon. My parents were married and sealed in the Temple before I was born, so I was born into this church; however, when life came to a certain point and I was able to understand what the differences were, choosing wasn't the hard part. The hard part for me was watching those whom I love fall away from the church and seeing how unhappy they have become. As I watch them slowly make their return, my heart still aches for them to remember what they were taught. I am a Mormon because I am able to find happiness in all things as I feel the love of my Father in Heaven, and His son, my brother and Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

People often give the primary answers such as 'attend my meetings, read my scriptures, and say my prayers." For me, these answers are the same, but there are more to each of them than meets the eye. I attend my meetings because I love how I feel when I sing Hymns with the congrigation as well as in special musical numbers and hearing the little children sing or share how they feel and what they know. I learn from exapmle, therefore I am a people-watcher. I read my scriptures because my questions are answered and I find peace and happiness as well as knowledge of the past in reading the Book of Mormon and The Bible. I say my prayers because it feels good to vent out my feelings as well as to process when only my Father is listening and I am trying to understand certain feelings, frustrations, emotions, and such. I live my faith everyday, to the best of my ability.
