Hi I'm Janelle.

I grew up in Seattle. I'm a stay home mom to six kids and a grandmother of two (so far). I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to sing, play the piano, read, coupon and bargain shop. As a young adult, I attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I love being a mom and I've been fortunate enough to stay home and raise my six children.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was raised a Mormon, I decided when I was young that living the gospel of Jesus Christ and worshipping God was of utmost importance to me and I also teach my children to love God and live his gospel. Being a Mormon helps me understand my relationship to God, that I am his daughter and that I am accountable to him for what I do with my life. I feel peace and joy as I follow my Heavenly Father's plan for me and I feel his love and guidance as I turn to Him during hard times and difficulties.

How I live my faith

Every sunday I teach a gospel lesson to the 14-15 yr. old young women at church. It's inspiring to see them learn and grow as they try to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have also been a choir director for our congregation, a leader and teacher in the 1-11 yr. old children's organization, a cub scout den leader and a leader and sunday teacher in the women's organization. I have 3 other women in our congregation that I visit in their homes each month and keep track of their needs in case I can be of help to them if they should need it. I have also had opportunites to make and deliver meals or babysit when there is an illness, death or new baby in the family and also to just be a listening ear and support during times of trial. Being a Mormon helps me to love, serve and help other people as I try to live as Jesus would.
