Hi I'm Danika.

I'm a senior. I'm a photographer. And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a senior in high school. I'm the oldest child in a family of four. I love photography. I enjoy running. I love driving and thunderstorms. I'm a hostess at a BBQ restaurant, and I love meeting new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church, so the gospel is something that I've never really questioned. Although, the testimony that I have now, I gained from the youth programs that our church provides. Because I believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ, I choose to go to church and all the activites that we have. Because I believe that there is a true prophet of God on the earth today, I choose to follow his guidance. Because I believe that I am a daughter of God, I choose to follow his commandments. Because I believe that I can return to live with my Heavenly Father someday if I live righteously, I try to live in a Christ-like manner.

How I live my faith

First, personal progress, which is an achievment program based on the gospel of Jesus Christ. It helped me to learn to set goals, and to have something to work towards. Also, seminary, which, for me, is a class I go to at the church before school everyday where we study the scriptures and gospel teachings. Seminary has helped me learn a lot of things I didn't know previously as well as help me to form lasting friendships with members my own age that have similar standards and goals. Then there are all of the summer activites that I get to enjoy and participate in. Girls camp (where all of the girls in my stake go camping together for about a week), TREK (a week where the youth in my stake go and reinact the pioneers' TREK across the plains to the Salt Lake Valley), and EFY (a program where youth from all over gather together for a week and grow spiritually in an uplifting environment where we are able to focus on the gospel). And of course, attending all meetings possible. (Sacrament, Sunday School, Young Women's, Mutual, Firesides, Conference, and much more.)
