Hi I'm Karis

I am a Southern California girl, who loves the beach, a runner, a wife, a Mom of three. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Mesa, AZ to great parents. I was 11 years old when we moved to sunny Orange County, CA. I grew up on the beach and enjoyed every minute of the laid back beach lifestyle. I love being outdoors and staying active. I love running and pushing myself to run just a little further each time. I was fortunate to have been able to live in Argentina to serve a mission for our church. I love Argentina and the people that live there. After serving a mission for eighteen months, I met my husband. We have been blessed with three children ages 6, 9, and 12. Being a wife and mother is challenging at times but, the most rewarding thing I do.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has always been a part of my life. Both my parents were raised in the church too. It was just something I knew and practiced forever. When I was about 19 yrs. old I decided to know for myself if being a Mormon was right for me. With the help of prayers and assessing my life, I knew that my Mormon faith was true. There was no doubt in my mind. I am so grateful to have faith that I am a daughter of God and that he loves me. There is a purpose to this life. God wants us to be happy and to return to live with him someday. This gives me lots of comfort in this confusing, challenging world. It's my faith that carries me through.

How I live my faith

What I love about being a member of the Mormon church is, the opportunities that come my way to serve others. It is so easy to get busy in our own lives and focus on our needs and wants. We sometimes forget about what others need. I have been able to help the women in our church and community with issues they are facing like sickness, unemployment, marriage struggles and having children. This has been a blessing for me. It has shown me the goodness in others and the desire we all have to be loved.
