Hi I'm Landon Harrison

I grew up in Idaho, I am a business man and a husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am someone that loves people. I love to meet new people, interact with friends, and family and pretty much be social. This probably comes from growing up with 4 other brothers. I am very much into sports. I not only love to play them, but I love to watch them. I grew up being involved with basketball (as often as possible), but also loved to play golf, ultimate frisbee, and volleyball. I also love to sing! I have been singing in choirs my entire life, but never had to opportunity to learn to play an instrument although I still hope to someday. Singing is not only a passion of mine but listening to music is something I love to do. I feel that it has a great power and can have a lot of influence in your life. I also enjoy the outdoors, including camping, hiking, photography, walking, etc. The outdoors were always a part of my life while growing up in Idaho. Currently I am married to my best friend and have been for over 3 1/2 years. We do not have any children yet but they are planned. I believe fully in the family and its organization. I just want to do my part in society and helping it survive. I believe that for society to survive will depend on the family organization.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I can't say that I chose to be a member of the church and that is because I was born into a family that has roots in the church back into the 1800's. Although I was born into the church I would not be who I am today without it. I came to a point in my life when I had to decide to keep following the teachings of the church or to do my own way. I could not rely on my parents any more and had to know for myself whether the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints was where I needed to be. I can tell you that by the gift and power of God and the Holy Ghost that I recieved the answer that this is Christ's church! I could not have spent two years of my life teaching it to strangers if I did not know it was true. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is fully restored and is here upon the earth to bless all of us as God's children! I know that to be true! I do not know what life would be like if I did not have the gospel, but I know for a fact that I would not be who I am today and would not have all of the blessings I do today. I am grateful for this church and the gospel and will be forever!

How I live my faith

With working to support my family I do not have much time to participate in the community although I have a great desire to do so. As a member of this church I always strive to look for opportunities to serve my fellow man. Whether it is sparing some change for someone in need, or making dinner for someone that is ill, this church helps me and supports me as I seek those opportunities to help others. I have been a teacher in my church and have worked with other members of the church to serve in the community doing service projects around the community and will continue to do so. I pray every day to be able be as my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to serve others at all times, or whenever called upon.
