Hi I'm Roger

I'm a Mormon. I believe in Jesus Christ. He is my Savior. I believe in prophets and continual revelation.

About Me

I was lucky to have been born a member of the church, and have remained steadfast because I believe that is the restored church of Jesus Christ. I have been blessed many times over the years to have had the opportunity to be of service. Mormonism is a pro-active religion. A member must constantly be striving to improve himself everyday – trying to become like our Savior. My goal is to become a little better each day and be an example to those whom I meet. I still have a long ways to go but I am constantly on the move.

Why I am a Mormon

As you know, Mormon is a nickname For the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am a member because I believe in modern-day revelation. I believe that Joseph Smith saw our Heavenly Father and His only begotten son Jesus Christ in a vision. I also believe that through his instrumentality the priesthoods, the power of God, were restored. That priesthood has been conferred upon me. The church is vibrant and dynamic. It has good to offer everyone. I believe in prayer and faith and in doing good. I believe in following the examples of great church members in the past and hope that I can be a good example to those that I meet.

How I live my faith

I must admit that given my age and circumstances that I do not do as much now as I once was able to accomplish. My wife and I are always available to offer a helping hand. It is our purpose to be helpful to those around us. We take part in community service projects – clearing parks, raking leaves and being available to help those in need. We don't try and impress anybody – that is not our purpose. We just realize that every man is my brother and we should be always available and at hand to be of assistance. They say that a picture is worth 1000 words. I submit that a good example of service, of help and assistance, is worth 1000 pictures!
