Hi I'm Matthew Vogel

I'm serving a mission in Manchester, New Hampshire. I'm a racer, guitar player, swimmer, and a Mormon.

About Me

As an infant I was adopted unto goodly parents with great gospel morals and standards. Down the years, my other 3 brothers and sister where also adopted into my family as infants. Growing up in the church really gave me that chance to use the atonement. I'm a self taught guitar player, starting when I was in 4th grade. I play anything from soft, smooth acoustic, country swinging to fast, heavy, distorted metal. In high school I swam and played water polo, and eventually moved to Dirtbikes and cars. I love anything outdoors, I'd rather be camping in the woods instead of in a million dollar hotel in Las Vegas. I'm currently serving a mission in New England and loving every second of it, it's truly helped me grow as a person and closer to my savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the overwhelming and distinct feelings of the spirit I have had the privilege of experiencing over my life. I love how I can be in the deepest of life holes, and just as Paul said when we was walking on water and slowly sinking "save me lord" he will always be there to help you get out. There's no better feeling knowing that while I may feel alone, while I may feel like the worlds crashing on me, there are 2 people that are chanting, pleading, crying with me, working as hard as I am if not harder, so I can see them again. So I can be with my loved ones again. So I can find purpose in my life and shine the way I'm supposed to instead of how the world wants me to.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a missionary in the New Hampshire, Manchester mission. Each day I'm able to serve, I try to be exactly obedient and always striving to improve on every aspect of my life to be closer with my Savior Jesus Christ. With this knowledge I'm gaining in my mission and looking back at examples in my life I hope to one day raise a gospel centered, fun and loving family of my own with a special person that will strive as hard as I will to always improve our relationship with our savior Jesus Christ and with each other!
