Hi I'm Mikayla

I'm a runner and I love music. I'm serving as a missionary in the Adriatic North Mission. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am college student and recently completed my freshman year of school. I am now taking time off to serve in the Adriatic North Mission! I love sports, but prefer ones that involve much running, such as ultimate frisbee, soccer, and...running. I also love being outdoors in Nature and fresh air; my favorite thing to do is run around during a good rainstorm. I have played the piano for a number of years, and also enjoy playing the organ, cello, and any percussive instrument. I could live off dark chocolate and Cheezits. My family travelled to Europe a few years back, and it was there I caught the travel bug. I now desire to visit many places and experience what they have to offer in the way of food, architecture, and culture. My motto is, "When life gives you lemons, make grape juice. Then sit back and watch the world try to figure out how you did it." I love finding happiness and humor in every aspect of life.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in the church by wonderful parents who taught me much about my Father in Heaven and His Gospel, my testimony has not always been as solid and sure as it is now. During middle and high school I struggled with my testimony and learning the truth of the Gospel for myself. However, a couple years ago I realized that I had many little experiences that confirmed to me what I had been taught. Little by little, as I studied and prayed, my testimony grew into the strong conviction I had desired it to be for years. I have found so much happiness and purpose for my life in this Gospel, and I yearn to share it with others so that they, too, can have the happiness and comfort that I have found.

How I live my faith

I've had the opportunity to serve in many musical and leadership positions at church. I enjoy accompanying others on the piano while they sing or play other instruments. I've also had the privilege to participate in many music programs and find joy in sharing music with others. I've been able to serve as a camp counselor at a girl's camp for a few years. Working outdoors with others my age and girls who are younger than me is one of the best things I've been able to do.
