Hi I'm Jessica Meek

I am a high school band member, a three sport varsity athlete, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My names Jessica Meek. I was recently diagnosed with Hyper-Sensitivity Chronic Pain, and have been suffering from it for almost four years. But given this trial I have not let it hold me back! I am the varsity kicker for my high school football team, starting varsity defender on the soccer team, a varsity relay sprinter in track, an active member of our high school marching band and concert band, oldest of seven kids and work a part-time job as a local lifeguard. This last weekend I was lucky enough to be crowned the homecoming queen for this years homecoming! After high school I hope to attend a college in Utah or Idaho to gain an education in natural sciences and serve a mission after my 19th birthday.

Why I am a Mormon

I have decided to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I believe what it teaches to be true. That you can return to live with our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ one day. That through temple marriages we are able to live with our families forever. I believe that the Book of Mormon is truly another testament of Jesus Christ and that if you study, pray and ponder them with a contrite heart you will be able to gave a testimony of the gospel for yourself. The standards of the church hold to be unchanging and help to keep us safe and clean.

How I live my faith

I have been privileged to be called as the Laurel president over the fabulous young women in my home ward. Every weekday morning I attend an hour long church class called seminary! Its super early and makes my day longer but I know that by going I help to improve my attitude for the day and help to further my education on the wonderful books we include in our scriptures: the Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, and The Doctrine and Covenants. Last Christmas I received the wonderful gift of a ctr ring (or choose the right ring ) in the shape of a crown to remind me I am royal heir to the kingdom that awaits me in heaven and to help me to keep my standards in my daily life.
