Hi I'm Anna Marie

I'm a convert. I am a wife and mom and homeschool my 10 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom. I homeschool our children. I served a mission in Bolivia and still love speaking Spanish. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish. I love to read, be with kids of all ages, swim and I enjoy listening to music.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was twenty. At the time I was searching for something that would give life some meaning beyond getting up each day to go to work. I knew a man at work that was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and he seemed different. He was always cheerful, very honest and just different. I started asking questions and soon was talking to the missionaries. They were able to answer the questions I had. I found that life did have meaning. I found out that there is a God in Heaven and that He loves us. That He has a plan for us and that if we obey His commandments we will find peace no matter what happens in this life. That is what has helped me for the last 20 or so years. Feeling God's love, knowing I can count on Him no matter what. Knowing that there is a prophet on earth that learns from God what we need to know to be happy. I know that we have a Savior. That Jesus Christ lived and died and lived again for each one of us. He loved and loves us that much. Being a member of this church has changed my life. It has given me life.

How I live my faith

I have served in many areas over the years. I have mostly served with the children. I have taught classes and singing. I have organized children's activities. I have written programs for the children to perform in church. I love working with the children! They have so much to give and to teach. I have volunteered as a soccer coach for various age children. For the last number of years I have been serving with the youth in our ward. I work both with the young women (ages 12-18) and the Young Men in their scouting program. I have served as a Troop Committee Chairman for many years with our Boy Scout Troop. In the Young Women I teach Sunday lessons, help plan and participate in weekly activities, chaperone dances and conferences. The last 4 years I have been going with our local girls to a girl's camp for a week each summer.
