Hi I'm Jong

I'm a Korean born Aussie. I love basketball. I play the violin. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My parents struggled raising the family here in Australia. I was taught the value of education and hard work. Meeting new people and cultures is my interest and this goes along with studying a business management degree in University. My mom never let me give up the violin and i love to play basketball.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church since i was born. So while the teachings have always been embedded in me, i naturally grew a skepticism as i got older. I wanted to try being a "normal" person like my friends. But something was inevitably missing. One day, i just envisioned what i wanted to be. A good father to my children, someone contributing to society in a meaningful way and being happy. I could see how being a member of the church would be the best way in which to achieve those things.

How I live my faith

Being involved alot in church provides an environment where you can share and uphold values that can be easily lost elsewhere. Right now i'm doing 2 years of full time missionary work which gives me the platform where i can share freely with people our beliefs. My dad had a random encounter with missionaries when he was young and later got converted. I can see how that changed the dynamics of our family in a really good way. If i can do that for someone else, i'm happy.
