Hi I'm Carla

I have been many places & have seen many things, but nothing compares to family. Mine is blended with 8 kids. I am Mormon

About Me

I am a working Mom to help our family in these tougher times. On those rare occasions when I am not working or managing the family schedules, I help others plan events like weddings. I love to bake, scrap-book and work on our family history. I truly enjoy finding stories about my ancestors. Keeping a well balanced family of 10 can be a bit stress full and it brings many interesting situations, especially since my husband and I grew up in totally different back grounds. Even in those times when it seems so futile, someone will make us laugh and all the pieces fit into place and I love it. I am just a busy mom, trying to enjoy my journey through life with my cherished husband..

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a part member family. My Father's family have been members since Joseph Smith. Mother's family were Catholic, Methodist or Buddhists. She allowed us to choose our religious sect, always showing us different idealism. I have always chosen to be a Mormon. Ever since I was a child of 8 and told her that I wanted to be baptized, I have known that this church is true and that Christ is our savior. When I was a teen, I became very ill and asked for a priesthood blessing, We lived in Indonesia on jobsite for a mining company. The nearest members were miles away and she thought we would be bothering them. I was very sick and my father who was not active called the other members. I received my blessing for the sick and many tender mercies from Heavenly Father. After an emergency operation (a doctor just happened to have flown into our area) and months of recovery, I became well. A year later, my mother went to Singapore for some rest and became ill while there. She happened to ask for a blessing and two missionaries came to her side. A few weeks later she was baptized. Family is my focal point, they means so much to me and I want to be with them forever. A few years ago, my son passed away. I miss him so very much. Many people ask me why I am not angry with God. How can I continue to go on? My answer is that I was so very lucky that Heavenly Father entrusted me with such a fine child. He was born with heart defects and doctors thought he wouldn't make it one day. Heavenly Father let me have him for 16 years, How can I be angry at him, when he gave me such a gift and the knowledge that I can be with my Mom, my son and the rest of my family for all eternity. I MUST go on, I Must Endure.

How I live my faith

My faith is pure and comes from a well somewhere inside. I strive so hard to keep my family together and I do it by trying as best as I can to follow Christ's example and by living and sharing the gospel. I am so lucky to have a calling in the Primary, these sweet children really teach me. They understand so much and soak gospel principals like a sponge takes on water. They love everyone and their hearts are so pure and they don't judge. They do get a little rambunctious but they teach me to
