Hi I'm Steven

I was born in North Dakota and grew up in Idaho, I'm a truck driver, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband, father, and a grandfather. I enjoy my family the most, but like being around people in general. I went to college, obtained a degree, but like many people; I work outside my area of studies. Fun times may include a variety of music, a scenic drive, or just some quiet time with a good book or magazine.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was young, our family was tracked out by the missionaries. It took some time, but my father joined first and then a year later my mother was converted. Being of age and taught by my parents and the missionaries, I too was baptized. Family life was good growing up in a loving home. However, as a teen I started to make some poor choices which led to a period of inactivity. When I was in the military stationed out of country, I began to reexamine my existence and eventually came back to a gospel centered life. Prayer, serious scripture study, and the encouragement of family and new found friends were what helped make the difference for me. I have since continued to live following the Savior. I'm so thankful for our Father's plan of happiness that allows for every person to have a perfect opportunity to hear and understand the gospel. I am grateful for Jesus and His great gifts of the resurrection and atonement that give me so much hope.

How I live my faith

Over the years, I've had a chance to serve in teaching Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, young men & young women and even adults. I enjoy singing with our congregation's choir. Currently I have an assignment to visit with a couple of families and encourage them on a regular basis.
