Hi I'm Scott

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of three young children. I currently attend school while working full-time. On top of this, I work with young scouts at church. I enjoy golfing and playing basketball. If not for work, I would spend most of my Saturdays watching college football. My family is the most important thing in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's church on the earth. I believe that Christ organized His church, through the prophet Joseph Smith, with the proper authority. This knowledge is why I attend church every week, and why I spent two years in Brazil preaching it. Everything good in my life has been a result of following the teachings and principles that I have learned as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I strive to make myself a better person on a daily basis. Providing service in the church helps me do this. Currently, I am the Scout Master for the 11-year old boys at church. We meet once a week and complete Boy Scout requirements. In doing this, boys learn more than tying knots, building fires, and other survival skills. They learn life principles to help them become better men. I am proud to fulfill this responsibility and hope to have a positive influence on these boys' lives.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Getting to know Heavenly Father is simple, but not easy. It can be accomplished through prayer, scripture study, and adherence to His commandments. As we come to know Heavenly Father, we increase our own potential. A former Prophet of the church, Ezra Taft Benson, once said, “Men and women who turn their lives over to God will discover that He can make a lot more out of their lives than they can. He can deepen their joys, expand their vision, quicken their minds, strengthen their muscles, lift their spirits, multiply their blessings, increase their opportunities, comfort their souls, and pour out peace.” When you notice that you are making wiser decisions, and becoming the person you want to be, then you have come to know our Heavenly Father.
