Hi I'm Jim

I'm a police officer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have worked as a police officer for the past 26 years and still love everyday that I go to work! I currently am assigned as a school resource officer at a mid-high school (8th-9th grades). I am married with five children, ranging in age from 25 years old to 8 years old. I am also a proud grandparent of a beautiful little granddaughter! I am also a police explorer advisor. I really enjoy working with the youth in my community. It is an experience that no one will soon forget.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a Catholic. I believed in God and in Jesus Christ, but I didn't have a strong testimony. When I was 28 years old, I was introduced to the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through much discussion, contemplation, and prayer, I learned what the gospel was all about. I received an undeniable understanding that Jesus is my Savior and that Heavenly Father loves me. I have never been happier in my life. I now have the answers to those nagging questions of "Where did I come from?", "Why am I here?", and "Where am I going after I die?"

How I live my faith

I am currently assigned as the head clerk for my congregation. I keep track of all the administration aspects of the ward. I work under the bishop and report on all sorts of things relating to the congregation. I try my best to live my life in a way that Heavenly Father will be proud of. The most important calling I have ever had is that of a home teacher. I visit three families each month and teach them about the gospel. I love the families I visit and try hard to make sure that their spiritual and temporal needs are taken care of.
