Hi I'm Thelma

I am a wife and mother. I am a teacher. I like to read and write and teach children to read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the middle of sagebrush in rural Nevada and now I live in the suburbs. My husband and I have three children. I homeschool the youngest and drive the older two around to their activities once they get home from school. I was a school teacher before my oldest child was born and I still I love to teach. I also enjoy reading and writing, taking walks around my neighborhood with my friends, and baking cookies.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and was taught from the time I was a small child that I had a Heavenly Father who loved me. As I got older and learned more about the Gospel, I wanted to know for myself if it was true. I have prayed and read the Bible and Book of Mormon and I know that what my parents taught me is true. I know I have a Heavenly Father who loves me. I know he sent His son, Jesus Christ to earth to atone for my sins so that I can repent and return to live with Heavenly Father someday. I have felt the love of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ many many times in my life. I know they are there. I know they love me and know me and care about me personally. I know that I am happier when I follow what I have been taught.

How I live my faith

I am an assistant Cub Scout leader. I help with the Wolf Den, which are busy 8 year old boys. I am also a visiting teacher. I have three wonderful women that I am assigned to visit each month. I love to stop by and chat and give them a message, support or a listening ear. (Often they give me a listening ear also.)
