Hi I'm David

I'm from Colorado, I'm a Thespian, I'm A full-time missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a large family with 6 sibling. I went on a mission just after graduating high school. I Love performing arts, singing, dancing, trombone, acting, and technical theater. I bike, run, and play ultimate Frisbee. I love the outdoors,. I love rock climbing and all forms of camping... especially backpacking.

Why I am a Mormon

I think originally, it was because my parents were Mormons, and that's what were as a family. I remember making a personal decision to read The Book Of Mormon... not because I was supposed to, but because I really wanted it to. More than any other time, I felt the Spirit of God telling me it was true. I felt energized by it, I didn't want to put it down. I prayed and asked God if it was true, and I remember waking up one morning, and this feeling and thought hit me like a ton of bricks telling me it was true. I've had so many other prayers answered. I know God is helping me in my hard times. He wants me, and everyone to be happy. That's why we have the Bible and The Book Of Mormon. They both help us to know that path to return to live with God and be happy now and forever.

How I live my faith

Christ taught us to love everyone, and I've found that bringing others up when they're down is my way of showing love. I am always looking for ways to bring others up, and I want to leave everyone I meet happier than when I first met them. I love to see those improvements in others, and it makes me happy. Currently, i have decided to give up everything to serve God by serving a mission to bring others closer to Christ.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

David
God calls men called prophets to teach God's word to the rest of God's children. That's what the Bible is. the teachings of prophets in Jerusalem and Egypt and that area. Their record goes from several thousand years before Christ, till around 70 (or so) years After AD. The Book Of Mormon is the record of prophets that taught in the Americas, from 600 BC until about 420 AD. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

David
Christ wasn't paid. Peter wasn't paid. Paul wasn't paid. they served because it was the right thing to do. Peter didn't do it for money, it was because God asked him to. He was called by Christ. Just like Peter, God calls normal people in the church to fulfill leadership assignments. They serve because God has asked them. Show more Show less
