Hi I'm Scott

I grew up in Loveland, Colorado. I now live in Arizona with my wife and three boys. I love spending time with my family.

About Me

I am very blessed with a wonderful wife, and three energetic boys that keep me busy. I am a small business owner. I love adding value to other people and assisting people with their goals and dreams. I love to spend time with my family playing games, sports, and traveling. I love to play and listen to jazz. I have played the tenor saxophone since I was young. I had the opportunity to play in college and travel with the BYU marching band. Music has been a big part of my life as I grew up and have taught my own children. I love photography. One of my favorite things to do is take photos of my kid's sporting events and when they are just playing at the park. I also love to photograph nature whenever we travel.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my entire life. I made the decision to serve a mission for my church when I was 19. I grew up knowing that I needed to serve a mission, but I didn't make that decision until I realized for myself why it was so important. I will always remember having a great conversation with one of my mentors, and great friends. He talked to me about our life, our decisions, and how they can effect us eternally. It was that conversation that made me realize that I had something in my life that was very special, and I wanted to share it with others. I decided that spending two years of my life sharing the plan of happiness would be the best way I could spend those two years. I served in Venezuela and had amazing experiences. I learned to grow closer to my Father in Heaven, and I grew a profound love for the people of Venezuela. Some of the basic teachings I love are the fact that we can live with our families forever. Not just in this life, but eternally. Death does not have to be the end. We can be sealed together as families, and if we live faithfully, the bonds that connect us will never be broken. I know that our Father in Heaven loves us and has created a plan for us to return to Him and be with our families.

How I live my faith

Over the past couple of years I have been teaching children at church. These past few years have been very special as I have learned so much from the children that I have taught. I have found that being a teacher is a lot more than just presenting a lesson. It's about learning to live what is taught and being an example, and learning from the Children as they share their ideas. I was lucky to have one of my boys in my class for an entire year. That was a very special time as I was able to share that valuable time at church teaching him and his friends. I especially enjoy the opportunity that I have to visit families to provide support, and service when the call comes. I have always enjoyed connecting with new people, and learning what other people are about. The opportunity to listen to others, and learn from their experiences has been very valuable to me in my life.
