Hi I'm Earl

I'm a Software Engineer, a husband, a father, a home remodel do-it-yourselfer, a Dutch Oven cooker, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a small family farm in central Washington, growing crops and cattle. My wife and I have been married 30 year and are parents of five children. I am a software/firmware engineer and enjoy the challenges of my career very much. We have lived in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Washington, and California. I enjoy home maintenance/remodeling, working on cars, camp cooking in Dutch ovens.

Why I am a Mormon

I have studied the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have prayed to my Father in Heaven and received a witness, through the Holy Ghost, that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I have found through years of practice that living by the commandments of God is the only way to find true happiness.

How I live my faith

Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ encompasses every day of my life. I have morning and evening prayer; I strive to be total honest in all of my dealing with my fellow man and to live a moral and upstanding life. I attend church with my family every week. I am teamed up with another man in the congregation and we are responsible to visit and nurture 4 other families in our congregation. I have been called to work in the welfare area of the church. In that calling I work with struggling families and help them create a budget, learn to live within their means, and pay off their debts.
