Hi I'm Mike

I grew up in southern California. I love to play baseball, surf, and ski. I am a Dentist. I have 5 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a Dentist for over 10 years. I grew up in Southern California. I love the beach and love to surf. We moved to Arizona when I graduated from Dental School in 2001. I love sports and love to play baseball. I play on a competitive adult baseball team. I also love to surf and ski when I get the chance. I have 5 children and love to spend time with them. 2 boys and 3 girls. Each year we spend a week in Cancun at our time share. We also go to California at least a few times a year. My wife and kids love Disneyland. Anything we do as a family is fine with me. I love my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church. I never questioned my faith as a child until I got into High School. When I turned 17 I decided it was time for me to learn for myself if my religion was true. I read the entire Book of Mormon and then prayed to find out if it was true. I had an experience that I will never forget. I received a witness from the Spirit that spoke to my soul and I knew without a doubt that what I had been taught to believe was true. God answered my prayer. Since then I have had many manifestations from the Spirit that continues to strengthen my faith. The older I get the more I see the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Living my faith strengthens me as a person and helps me feel closer to my Savior.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a lifestyle. It is difficult for some to understand why I live they way that I do. I read my scriptures every morning. Then we read scriptures as a family before School and pray as a family every morning and night. I have had opportunities to serve in many different capacities within the Church. I have taught youth, children, and adults. I have worked with the Bishop (local congregational leader) as his secretary. I currently work with the Cub Scouts. Our Church is a church of service. All of our assignments are volunteer. I try each day to live better and follow the example of Christ. I know I am not perfect. But I try to be kind to others and look for opportunities to help those who are in need. It's all about serving others.
