Hi I'm Stefanie

I am a B.O.I. which means "born on island" in Texas. I love hiking and snorkeling. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some of my hobbies and interests are that I love shopping, traveling, and going to the beach. I love my family, they mean so much to me. I am the youngest child of four children. For the past few summers, I have worked at a local recreational center teaching cheer and gymnastics to children ages 4-17. I loved every moment of it. I finished two and a half years of college in Hawaii and am now serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, I was brought up in the Church. It was not always easy because although my father was a member, my mother was a devout Catholic. When I became 8 years old, it was ultimately my decision that I had to make for myself to be baptized. Even though it was hard at times because not all of my family members are members of the Church, it was the best decision I have ever made. Every day I strive to become closer to my Heavenly Father, and I know that it can only be possible by following His gospel. I know that the trials we face are temporary and it is through those trials that we are able to rely on the Lord and become better. I am grateful for the Atonement and I know that because of it and my Savior, I am able to return and live with my Heavenly Father again. I am a Mormon because I know that it is through this gospel that we can find true happiness.

How I live my faith

Some ways of how I live my faith are through my church callings. One of my favorite callings is working as a primary worker and teaching children between the ages of 6 and 7 about the gospel and help prepare them to be baptized. Another one of my favorite callings was in my student ward where I was called as a compassionate service leader. I was able to help other girls in their struggles at the time both spiritually, mentally, and physically. It is through my callings that I am able to serve others. Ultimately, I truly believe that the best way to live my faith is through action of just by being an example to those around us.
