Hi I'm Melinda

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at BYU-Idaho. I am called to serve in the Bolivia Cochabamba mission for 18 months. I have a passion for humanitarian work, and am currently an advocate for let'sendpoverty. I love trying new things and meeting new people. I especially love my family, my friends, and my religion. I was born and raised in Everett, Washington, I love to laugh, and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up going to church and there has been so many times when I have seen the Lord's hand directly in my life. As I have prayed, attended church, and studied the scriptures, I have found for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church upon the Earth, and it contains a fullness of the restored gospel. Knowing who I am, who I can become, and how I can become, has brought me so much peace and happiness in my life. I wouldn't trade my knowledge of the gospel for anything. It is worth more to me then any amount of money. The standards given to the members of the church have been so clear and helpful especially getting through high school and the trials of life. I would give my life defending my Savior and I know he is real. I know that this gospel is true, I have no doubts, and I love the Lord.

How I live my faith

I try my best to live by the example Jesus Christ has set for us. I love missionary work, and talking about the church with everyone because it makes me so happy and I want other people to feel that happiness. The Atonement is continuous and is there for us to utilize and continually be edified by. I know that by doing my part I can gain true and eternal happiness. It is like a life preserver, we have to decide whether to take it or not. But with the atonement Christ not only saves us, he makes us better. I have learned that it doesn't matter whether or not I can physically see Christ in mortality, but I want to live my life so that eventually, Christ can see his countenance in me. I try to always remember Him, and rely on Him, and trust in Him, because He is there with us every step of the way.
