Hi I'm Shireen

I'm a Mormon. I am a mommy of a sweet girl, and have one on the way. I graduated from UW. And have a great family.

About Me

I am a mommy! I have a 2 year old little girl and we are expecting another in April. My husband is a EMT/Firefighter, and I currently work as a cook and a co-director of a day care. I graduated from University of Washington and Worked as a case manager for a children's psychiatric program until we started our family. I hope to go back to school in a couple of years and earn my masters, in what I am still not sure. I love to swim, cook, and read. I also love school and take classes just for fun. I have a fun family and love to go on vacation whenever possible!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this church, but I am a Mormon now because I carefully chose this religion. I did not get serious about religion until I was in my early 20's, I decided it was time to chose how I wanted to live my life. This church answered every question, it had the explanations I needed. I studied, read the Book of Mormon, started attending church with purpose, and prayed. I came to understand and embrace the gospel. Even though I still find questions, and life gets difficult, I have a strong testimony and appreciate being a member of this church.

How I live my faith

One thing I really appreciate about this religion is that everything is done through volunteer work. We do not pay a pastor or teachers. Every member takes turns doing the work. Right now I have the opportunity to help with the women's group. I get to plan weeknight activities and help other women in the church. Being a Mormon is not a Sunday activity. We live our religion everyday. Whether it is having family night, reading scriptures as a family, doing service projects, or having fun living life, I live my religion everyday.
