Hi I'm Amy

I am a mother of 4. I've lived in MO,TN, KY, AZ, ID and WA. Faith, family, and friends are very important to me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived many places in my life. I am the oldest of 6 children and was born while my father was in the Air Force, in Missouri. I grew up in and around Nashville, TN. My parents divorced when I was 14 and I lived briefly in Kentucky before finishing high school in Mesa, Arizona. After graduation, I attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho where I met my husband, Paul. He finished college in Washington state, where we still reside, almost 22 years later. I am the mother of 4 AMAZING kids who amuse, challenge and teach me daily. As a mom, I try to teach my children where they can turn for peace and direction in their lives. I have experienced many things in my life and am continually amazed at the direction and peace the Lord gives me. I am also humbled as I see the Lord's hand in the lives of my children. He LOVES us ALL! I am SO blessed to be married to a man who is a hard worker, who loves me and is committed (as I am) to walking this road together. I am grateful for my temple sealing which will enable us to be an eternal family. I enjoy scrapbooking, making jewelry and doing genealogy. I've received great joy and perspective in my own life, from researching my ancestors and discovering who they were and what they stood for. I am grateful to have friends who enrich my life and buoy me up. I am blessed to live in the United States and enjoy the freedoms I do. I am grateful for this every day and strive to defend the freedoms that I hold so dear.

Why I am a Mormon

I am an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The teachings of the Gospel ring true to my mind and spirit. Even though I was raised in the Church, I have come to know for myself that its teachings are true. I've learned that we cannot live on "borrowed light" or someone else's testimony. We all can do this. I have a testimony of the Savior, Jesus Christ, and of His teachings and purpose in coming to this earth. He made it possible for us to ALL be resurrected one day. He also came to pay the price for the sins of all mankind, making it possible for us to repent so that we can live with our Father in Heaven again.

How I live my faith

First and foremost, I strive to live the teachings of the church, EVERY day. I am not perfect, but that is the beauty of the Gospel of Jesus Christ - we can repent and keep moving forward. Because of what I believe, I have the responsibility to be an example in ALL I do and say. I teach my children to do the same. We are reflections of Jesus Christ and the goodness he offers the world. I attend my Church meetings every week. I love serving in the Church. Serving, gives me added focus and I receive so much joy and numerous blessings when I lose myself in serving others. Serving others, in ANY capacity, is a sure-fire remedy to combatting and gaining perspective to our OWN problems in life. My favorite callings have been when I get to serve with the youth or teach. When I get to teach youth - it's the BEST. I currently help plan and organize the yearly summer camp for the Young Women (12-18 year olds) in our area.
