Hi I'm Lauren

I love my family and rainy days. I'm a sister, an aunt, a daughter and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am one of a few Mormons in my family and that has been a struggle but I don't know where I would be in life without this trial. I have two sisters and two brothers. I have a niece who brightens my day with her little smile. I have a mother, stepfather and a father and I love them all very much. I love to read good books on rainy days with a blanket and hot chocolate. I love playing softball and volleyball. I really want to travel sometime in my future. I am serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Nevada Las Vegas West Mission. After I will be attending school at Brigham Young University-Idaho I want to go into political science and eventually become a Paralegal. I have goals that I will meet and nobody will stop me from meeting them. Most of all I wouldn't trade my life for anything in the world. I love my trials because they give me the opportunity to grow and become closer to our Father in Heaven.

Why I am a Mormon

I will start off by saying that I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-Day Saints. I am mormon because I chose to be and because I wanted to know the truth and happiness that being a member gives me. I was baptized when I was eight but in my eyes I didn't start to become active until i was between the ages of 11 and 12. When I was 12 I started to go to young women's and I met some very wonderful women that accepted me and my family even though some of my family don't understand or agree with the things we practice. I was constantly told that if I ever needed anything that I could come to them for help and guidance. I continued to go to church every Sunday and our youth activities on Wednesdays and I love the happiness that is brought to those activities or meetings and I love the people around me that understand me and my faith and who also live by that faith. Through the church I have met wonderful youth my age that deal with the same issues that all youth go through and I have created really great friendships with people. I know that we all have trials and they all are very different trials but we receive these trials for a reason even though we might not know that reason at the time there is one and my Heavenly Father knows me and everyone in this world and he knows what needs to happens to me in order to become a stronger and better person. I don't know where I would be today if I wasn't mormon and I don't want to know where I would be if I wasn't. I love this church and its doctrine with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my hardest at being a good example to my family and the people around me even though i fall miserably at times i still continue to strive to be a good example. I attend church every Sunday and I also attend Wednesday night youth activities. I dress modestly and try to always have a smile on face.
