Hi I'm Ammon

I'm a surfer. I'm a HUGE Canucks fan. I grew up in Hawaii and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Hawaiian living in the beautiful Aiea, Hawaii. I'm a Missionary in the Brazil, Sao Paulo East Mission and BYU Hawaii student. Go Seasiders! I'm a fan of the Vancouver Canucks, and love badminton, raquetball, surfing, and football. I'm a newly converted mountain climber. I play the ukulele, guitar, drums, and a little piano. I like traveling and have been to many exotic locations. I love Canada and sleeping in. I believe in Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know it's true. I often hear, "Why would you be a mormon? It sounds so hard" With all the rules of what you can't do and all the "fun" things you have to miss out on, it can seem real tough to people not of our faith. When I was younger my answer would have been because my family went and staying home was not an option, but as I've grown up, I've found, for myself, irrefutable evidence of the truth of the church through praying to God and asking him if the gospel was true. Knowing for myself of the truth Joseph Smith's words, that he really did see Christ, is one of the most amazing parts of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending Curch as frequently as I can. I also attend seminary (a 6:30-7:15 A.M. Church class) every weekday of the school year BEFORE classes. It's hard. I try to be an example to those around me and lots of the time it's harder than dragging myself out of bed to seminary. I recently got called to be a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am serving in Sao Paulo Brazil for two years, inviting others to come to know of the love of Jesus Christ.
