Hi I'm Carl Baisden

I am a husband, a father of two beautiful children, a businessman, a full-time student, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Today, I live in beautiful northern Idaho. This area and its beauty prove to me that there is a loving Father in heaven. I am a full time husband, father, businessman, and student. I have been married for eight wonderful years and I now have two beautiful children. My family is the most important thing in my world. My family is my support and my drive to become better. My family deserves the very best me I can give. Between my family, my faith, my schooling, and my business, I stay very busy. In my down time I enjoy golfing (summer), Snowmobiling (winter), and everything outdoors (year round).

Why I am a Mormon

As a youth I was given many great experiences. I developed a strong faith, I played sports, I was involved in the Boy Scouts of America, I excelled in school, and I spent a lot of time causing mischief with my siblings. I had great dreams. I wanted to be someone amazing! I would soon discover that life's distractions have a way of helping you lose focus on those things which are most important. While still in my youth, my sister was murdered by her boyfriend. This traumatic event sent me spiraling out of control. I began to push all of life’s limitations. Schooling, sports, my family and my faith became less important to me. I started to put worldly things in front of spiritual progression. I turned to things that would bring me instant relief from the pain and immediate gratification. I became depressed and I did not know how to recover. At the age of 17 I dropped out of high school and moved out of my parents’ home. My relationships of choice were those of a superficial nature. My family was deeply saddened by my choices and the outcomes of those decisions. During this time, my desire for personal and spiritual betterment still existed but I knew not how to obtain it. Through the love of my family and friends, and through the mercy of the Savior, I found my way back to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have learned that true happiness is found in a personal relationship with the savior, even Jesus Christ. Often times while struggling, I believed that I was beyond repair and beyond recovery. True healing is found only through the Savior. The bad is now just a memory that is overshadowed by the love that I feel from my heavenly father. Through the gospel of Jesus Christ, my family can be bound together for eternity. I am eternally indebted to my father in heaven for his love and matchless mercy. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth. It is through this gospel that we can each find peace and immeasurable joy.

How I live my faith

I constantly recognize the need to be better. I am far from perfect and continue to face trials and adversities. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me to face the challenges with faith, knowing that I have the Lord on my side. I love the gospel and love to serve others. I love watching my children grow in the Gosple and learn about the Savior. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing your children developing a relationship with their Heavenly Father.
