Hi I'm Bart

I'm a Mormon. I joined the church just before I turned 21. I'm a huge LSU fan.

About Me

I've been a member of the church since 1998. I was introduced to the gospel in 1992 after meeting my best friend Will while playing basketball. Since joining, I've married in the Dallas Temple and now have three sons. I enjoy watching LSU sports. I also read and prefer history and non-fiction. I work as a Program Manager for a large corporation based in Omaha.

Why I am a Mormon

In 1992 I met a person named William while playing basketball. We lived in the same apartment complex, and used to play every day after school. As time passed, we became close friends and he shared his beliefs and answered some questions I had about the church. While I didn't join right away, I at least felt more knowledgeable about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. After my friend returned from his mission, I started attending Sunday meetings at a Singles Ward in Baton Rouge. Through study and prayer, I gained a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel and made the decision to be baptized in 1998. My friend became a brother to me and my younger brother Beau. I'm still in touch with both of my brothers despite living in three different states. I know the decision I made to join the church has changed my life and allowed me to be a better friend, brother husband and father. I'm so glad I gained a testimony that my family will be together forever.

How I live my faith

I've served in several callings within the church, but feel that I live my faith through the decisions I make every day. I am honest in all communication. I do my best to serve my wife and children. I offer support to those I feel I can help. My faith demands much time and energy, but I feel I've been blessed so with so much more than I will never be able to repay. Each day I try to live to do what I can to show my appreciation for all that I have.
