Hi I'm Robert

I grew up in Southern California. I loved going to the beach and its still one of my favorite places to go. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a grandfather, husband, dad, USMC Veteran, and a Venture Scout Leader. I like keeping fit by lifting weights and working at my job. I play by taking our boat out to the lake and going on vacation with friends and family. I like to work on cars, computers, and fixing anything that is broken.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be Mormon years ago when I married a beautiful young lady. I loved everything about her and how she lived her life. Yes, she was Mormon. I became a member of the Church a few years after we were married. I am grateful to be a member of the greatest organization on earth, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I've had some big trials in my life. I lost my father in a car accident when I was 16. I lost my youngest daughter at age twelve by an inoperable unknown brain tumor. I have one daughter that has been missing since age 20 and the police now suspect foul play. I can look back now and see how I have been blessed. My Father and I were very close and he was a hard worker and for the time he was on this earth he taught me a lot. He taught me how to work hard, how to build and repair everything yourself, and how to become a man. I was able to spend time with my children more because I lost my job after 9-11. That job kept me away from home for weeks sometimes. I took a different career path and took a local job so that I can be home every night. If I wouldn't have lost my job I would have missed spending time with my children. I testify that that our Father in Heaven lives, he knows each one of us,and he has a plan for all of us. As we have faith in Him and his Son Jesus Christ we will have the strength to make it through the trials in our lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing community service projects with the youth in our church. I am a Home Teacher. This means I share the gospel with two wonderful families in our neighborhood. I have been asked to teach the young men in our church. I teach lessons on Sunday and we have activities on Wednesday nights. As a Scout Leader, we go on camp outs and work on Boy Scout merit badges. We also do high adventure activities with the scouts like canoeing, repelling, mountaineering, geo caching and boating. I am glad I have the opportunity to work with the youth. They are our future leaders and it is rewarding to see them learn and grow.
