Hi I'm Rose

I love being "Mom". I am my best self beside my husband. I enjoy making messes while being creative. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My compassionate and dedicated parents have 10 children. 2012 marks my 20th Anniversary to my dear husband. We have two teenage children; who are my heros for having courage to maintain high moral standards in a world where drugs, swearing, and immorality are "every where". I am honored to be their mother and find joy in doing things for and with them. We have lived in Utah, Oregon, Idaho, Missouri, Illinois, Arizona, and Colorado. We have moved around 30 times. I have learned, (as a friend stated), "It doesn't matter where you live, but how you live." I am grateful to have met people at each cross road who have forever touched my life for the better. I graduated from Marylhurst University with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies. When my children were young I did day care in my home. I have worked at a hospital caring for children with behavioral challenges and in public school system as a teacher's aid, or "paraprofessional", helping students. I taught preschool in my home for 2 years. I have a deep appreciation for any one who owns and/or runs a food business, after having owned one. I currently own a small business, with lower expenses, in which, I buy items wholesale, make jewelry, and other "creative" projects to sell online and at the boutique in which I work. I am blessed to work with kind, and caring women. I get to meet incredible customers who I often view as instant friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because our Heavenly Father (God) lives, hears prayers, and answers prayers. As I have prayed to know if the Book of Mormon is a true book I have received an answer. I felt a warm feeling I describe as peace and comfort. I have heard the word "Yes." spoken in my mind and felt in my heart. I am a Mormon because it is the church of Jesus Christ. The Church of Jesus Christof Latter-day Saints offers words of truth, wisdom, light, and knowledge, from His prophets found in the Bible, in the Book of Mormon, and prophets called to serve in our days, these the "latter days". All of which teach and testify of Jesus Christ, His miraculous birth, His pure life, and the Atonement (which includes the suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane and His death on the Cross) in which Jesus Christ He paid for our sins. They teach of those who saw Jesus Christ after He had been resurrected. The Bible and the Book of Mormon offer accounts from prophets who saw Him. They touched the wounds in His hands and feet. How marvelous to have the opportunity to read about such a time. I know with all that I am that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I treasure the truths the Bible gives and the perspective of those who wrote the words of their life from their heart. I hold dear the lives and testimonies shared in the Book of Mormon. I admire the struggles and triumphs each person faced. Because I am blessed to know the truth found in both books and hear teachings of our prophet today, I am able to more fully understand our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I love Them. I want to serve Them. I want to seek after all I can to more fully know Them, and be more like Them. It is like being given all the pieces to the puzzle. Each piece is beautiful, but together it is a masterpiece.

How I live my faith

I love to get to know people. Whether they go to the same church I do, a different church, or don't go to church at all. Heavenly Father loves everyone. Every soul is great in His sight. I want to see everyone through His eyes. I live my faith by loving people and doing what I can to share a drop of goodness in their bucket of life. I find there is a positive and negative to most things. I live my faith by looking for the positive. I have ADHD. I have learned that this helps me be creative, and notice details. These characteristics help me notice people who may be left out or in need, and think of ways creative to reach out to help. For work I make jewelry. Right now I enjoy making soldered pendants. Many of which have beautiful images. Some have a saying, quote, or scripture on the back. I like creating beautiful things that lead to an awakening of appreciation for each other and the world around us. I also enjoy sharing words of faith that help lead others thoughts to Christ. I live my faith by LOVING FAMILY. As I love my husband I teach my children about what love is, what it means, and how it looks. It can look like doing the dishes together, or snuggling during a movie, or holding hands as we walk. It (meaning me) can look silly as I try to play "Just Dance", a game, with my family. Love is...my husband turning on my favorite Christmas song, even after Christmas, because he knows I like to sing along, even though I sing loud, and off tune at times. Love can mean listening compassionately to my husband tell me about his hard day, even when I have had a hard day too. We are so in love people sometimes have a hard time believing we have had our challenges; but living our faith means loving each other when it is easy and when it is hard. As we do this we have grown to love each other more.
