Hi I'm Jen

I'm a wife and mother of 4. I love to run. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother to 4 wonderful children. I enjoy spending time with my family and supporting my children in their activities. I am very active in my children's schools and in my church activities. I love to run and enjoy going to a Cross-Fit gym. I enjoy going on trips with my family and my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I am fortunate in that I was raised in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I developed my own testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel at a fairly young age and continued to strengthen it by following the commandments of God. I went away to college where I didn't know anyone or have any family near me. I chose to continue to live the gospel of Jesus Christ and follow Heavenly Father's commandments eventhough many around me had very different standards. This experience further strengthen my testimony and I saw the positive effects that living the gospel had in my life. Living a righteous life brings me peace and happiness. I know who I am, where I came from and where I want to go. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ has helped make my marriage stronger, made me a better wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend.

How I live my faith

I love being actively involved in the church. My current calling (assignment) in the church is in the Young Women's presidency of our ward (congregation). I work with 3 other women to run our young women's (youth) program. We meet with all of the 12-18 year old girls each Sunday as well as on Wednesday nights for activities. It is a joy to watch these young ladies develop their talents, strengthen their faith and understanding of their Savior Jesus Christ and blossom as daughters of God. I am also a visiting teacher which means that I have to the opportunity to visit 5 sisters (fellow women in our congregation) on a monthly basis with my companion. I have been able to develop wonderful friendships through serving these women and it brings me joy. I enjoy being able to serve in my community primarily through the public schools where my children attend. I make it a high priority to be a good example of a Christian or follower of Christ. I am very open with my friends about my religious beliefs and talk frequently about my involvement in my church. There are often times misconceptions about what Mormons believe and I enjoy talking to people and answering questions.
