Hi I'm Rachel

I am a mechanical engineering student, the 4th of 10 children, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mechanical engineering student, I have been studying for over 4 years at a university. My plan is to go to grad school and study biomedical engineering. I love doing anything outdoors: hiking, canoeing, playing sports, etc. I am the 4th of 10 children, 3 of which were adopted. I am a proud aunt of 1 nephew and 2 nieces and I have one on the way. I love spending time with them as well as the rest of my siblings.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of members of the Mormon church. When I was 8 years old I made the decision to get baptized. Although I did not fully understand the impact of my decision at the time, I knew that it was a good idea and I knew that I wanted to follow Jesus Christ. As time passed, I began to more fully understand what it meant to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel is what brings me the most joy in life. It helps to give me a long-term perspective, in fact and eternal perspective. Knowing that there is more to life than what happens in the moment helps make my trials and difficulties in life more bearable. Reading the scriptures and studying the words of modern prophets gives me the hope that I need to face the future. With all the uncertainty in the future, I find great comfort in knowing that there are men called of God who can warn us of dangers looming on the horizon.
