Hi I'm Kasha

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was a blond yesterday, today I am now a brunette and happy that it is Fall. I am a wife of a firefighter, a mother of two, and a huge bookworm. I love the outdoors, not so much in the summertime in Arizona, but the rest of the year is heavenly. I enjoy longboarding and am pretty excited my husband is starting a business making and selling longboards.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the only way to true and everlasting happiness. I was blessed to be born and raised in the church. However, when I turned 18 I started I knew it all and started making horrible choices that led me down the wrong path for a year or two. The consequences of these choices which led me to leave the church made me feel very lonely and unhappy. I thought that I was free, but alas I was chained down in what felt like darkness and despair without the gospel. One day while driving the spirit whispered the question "are you happy?" The answer was immediately "no" and I rushed home to fall to my knees and pray and ask for forgiveness. I was instantly filled with love and what felt like a warm hug from my Heavenly Father who is always ready to welcome us back no matter what stage in our lives we are at. In our religion we embrace the atonement to be the greatest event and gift ever given to mankind and it is because of the atonement that we all can return to our Heavenly Father. I have a testimony of our dear Savior, Jesus Christ, who paid the ultimate price for us. He made it possible for me to be forgiven and still forgiven each day for the little sins we all commit. Without the gospel was utter darkness for me, once I returned, I have never been happier, more fulfilled, and surrounded by light.

How I live my faith

I am currently involved with the Activity Day Girls in my ward. Twice a month we get together and do fun crafts and activities while learning about the basic principals of the gospel. We have a blast and it is perfect for me with having two very young children at home who keep me very busy. I love to go visiting teaching and meet with assigned sisters who enrich my life so much. My husband and I recently celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary by going to the temple and remembering the sacred covenants made there prior to our own sealing. It is so wonderful to be able to attend the temple and shut off the wicked world for that time.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Kasha
If we have complete faith in our Savior Jesus Christ than with that we are trying to be like him and center our lives around his example. If he is at the center of our every relationship as the example to follow, than his perfect example would greatly influence and improve our marriage and friendships. He is unselfish, loving, charitable, humble, and every other amazing quality that we seek after in ourselves. If we put our faith in him than we must try to be like him. In doing this, we can have more than successful marriages, family relationships, and friendships. Show more Show less
