Hi I'm Rob

I am a father of three children. I'm a physical therapist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of three teenage (or soon to be teenage) children. My wife and I find that much of our extra time is spent helping them manage their needs. Even though this can be taxing, we have found it to be quite fun and generally very funny watching them fight their way through the teen years. When I do have free time I enjoy playing golf or racquetball. With my wife I enjoy music or theater. As a physical therapist I work long hours, but rarely take stress home from work.

Why I am a Mormon

Being born to parents that were already members of the LDS church, I had early exposure to the teachings of the gospel. During my youth I guess I probably made decisions based on expectation, but also based on what things made me happy. I served a full time mission and found that sharing my testimony of the truthfulness of teachings of Christ helped me understand them more fully. Even today I find that my testimony grows the more I talk about Christ and His teachings. I have read the Book of Mormon and know that it is a record of ancient prophets as they prepared for, met and preached of Christ. I know that the fullness of the Gospel has been restored to the earth. We have living prophets today that direct the church as Christ has outlined. Just as prophets of old, I know that our prophets of today speak to our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Through living the principles of the Gospel, we can receive the blessings of our Heavenly Father and prepare ourselves to live with Him and enjoy the blessings of an eternal family.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to serve in various capacities in my church. With my son, I have the privilege of visiting and caring for two other families in our congregation. We visit at least monthly and share a spiritual message. We also try to keep up with what their kids may be involved in and help with any family needs. We have been invited to their homes for family events and enjoy being able to participate in special occasions. When they have any needs or challenges they may call us to come assist. I also have the opportunity to assist with the young children. Each of the 10 congregations in our area have childrens organizations (Primary). Each of these groups is run by ladies that are called to serve as the presidency over those children. I have the privilege of assisting those ladies and making sure that they and the children have all the support that they need. In addition to working with the children, I am generally asked to speak once a month in a different congregation. The topic may vary and may include, Building a Christ Centered Home, or The Importance of Studying the Scriptures. These are great opportunities for me to learn as I prepare.
