Hi I'm Troy

I'm an Engineer. I love all the seasons. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and now a few years working professionally in the aerospace industry. An innate interest in flight led me to obtaining my private pilot's license as a teenager and later to the field I currently work in. I enjoy the outdoors and almost anything athletic. I have recently began pursuing a lifelong interest in photography.

Why I am a Mormon

A statement from The Family: A Proclamation To The World, issued by the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in 1995, reads, "Happiness in family life is most likely to be acheived when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. Successful marriages and families are established and maintained on principles of faith, prayer, repentance, forgiveness, respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational activities." This quote is obviously directed specifically to the family, but the principles, I believe, apply individually as well. This is one of the foundations of my decision to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ. The blessings of peace, joy, comfort and fulfillment that I receive by living a life exemplory of my Savior holds more value to me than anything the world has to offer. As I live such a life, I am filled with greater love for and a desire to serve my fellow man. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ, found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, brings to light the fulness of our Heavenly Father's plan for our happiness. It teaches us who He truly is, and who we truly are as His literal children. It teaches that family relationships can be perpetuated beyond the grave. These are a few of the things I hold dear and sacred.

How I live my faith

Currently I have the opportunity to help coordinate and plan events and activities for the congregation with whom I attend church meetings. Not only do we love to meet and worship together, but we also enjoy recreational activities together, which allow us to grow in unity and love one toward another as we develop lasting friendships. I strive to grow closer to my Heavenly Father and become more like my Savior Jesus Christ. By studying the life and teachings of the Savior and His prophets in the scriptures, and by communicating with my Father in Heaven through prayer, I feel a greater influence of their spirit and love. At times I fall short, but God's grace affords me the hope and strength to continue progressing.
