Hi I'm Wyndham

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I LOVE exercise! My favorite forms of exercise include hiking, running, swimming, biking, and rock climbing. My favorite place to be is the outdoors, enjoying God's beautiful nature. My absolute most favorite places to spend time are The Grand Canyon and Sedona. I'm on the cross country team for my local community college, and my team and I are determined to win the National Championship this season! I am studying exercise science because I want to be either a physical therapist or a coach and someday own my own health clinic. I currently live in an apartment with some cross country team mates, and I enjoy living away from home. I have a boyfriend whom I love very much and he makes me happy. My family is fairly large with six kids and my parents. I have four brothers and a sister. I'm closest to my twin brother and my younger sister. My family enjoys the outdoors as well, and I can thank my mom for my interest in exercise. Some other random facts about me: I love the color purple. I enjoy good food. I enjoy movies and books. I enjoy spending time with friends. And I love to serve.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I know that Joseph Smith truly did receive a visitation from God and his son Jesus Christ. I know that he was chosen to be the first prophet of this last dispensation to restore the keys of priesthood power and translate the Book of Mormon. I believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God and goes hand in hand with the Bible to testify that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. I know that through the loving Atonement of the Savior I can repent and be clean so I can return to live with my Father in Heaven. I know that the temple is the House of the Lord and that through its sealing powers I can be united with my family for time and all eternity. Last of all, I believe that my Father in Heaven knows and loves me and wants what is best for me. I was born and raised in the church, but as I have lived the commandments, followed it's teachings, and prayed to know of its truthfulness, I have come to know for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by constantly doing my best to choose the right and look out for the needs of others. I am happiest when I am serving God and building his kingdom, so I look for any opportunity to serve others and share my faith. I share my faith because I know that the gospel brings us lasting happiness. I try to follow the example of the Savior in everything I do. I will often ask myself, "Would the Savior listen to this music or watch this movie? Would I feel comfortable wearing this in the presence of the Savior?" Asking questions like these help me live as an example of the believers and show God my love for him. I strive to pray and study the scriptures every day. This increases my sensitivity to the Spirit so that Heavenly Father can direct me throughout the day. Every member of the church has an important role to play in their ward, or church community. My role, or calling, in my ward is the second counselor of the women's organization. With the other sisters in my presidency, we try to make sure the needs of the women and men in our ward are taken care of. I am also a visiting teacher. Each of the sisters are assigned to visit 2 to 4 sisters each month to make sure their needs are met and they know they are loved. The ways of the church may be quite different from the ways of the world, but through the help of the Savior, it is possible for anybody.
