Hi I'm Brent

I'm a Husband, Father of 4, Return Missionary, Veterinarian, Eagle Scout. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised by loving parents who taught me to love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I married the lady of my dreams who has taught me to love life and "dance" my way through it with laughter, commitment and joy. I have always loved animals so I became a veterinarian. I started Northwest Animal Care Hospital, Rehabilitation & Spa and have been blessed to do what I always wanted to do for a living. I have 4 ambitious, free spirited children that teach me patience and keep me young. I love to fish, play basketball, travel to places in our boat, climb mountains, and spend time with my wife and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but I think there is always a time in ones life that causes us to reflect on what is important and what we really believe. That time was when I decided to go on a mission for our church. I was called to Wisconsin to serve the Lord and I needed to know for myself that Joseph Smith was a latter-day prophet who translated the Book of Mormon. I read and studied the Book of Mormon daily until I came to Moroni 10:3-5 where it says to ask God with real intent after reading the book if these things are not true and by the power of the Holy Ghost I would know the truth. I did this and a powerful feeling of love, peace and knowledge that I was a child of God, that He loved me individually and that the Book of Mormon was true scripture of Gods dealings with the people on the American Continent, came over me. I know that if I follow His teachings I will have happiness forever in my life.

How I live my faith

I have held many positions within the church that give me the opportunity to serve people. There is no greater joy than to help someone accomplish something hard or that they can not do alone. I have been blessed to work with youth, 12-18 years old, where we have climbed Mt. Rainier, Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Baker; tamed whitewater rapids in Oregon and Canada and hiked 50 miles, biked and kayaked in the San Juan Islands. I have been places with the boys that I never imagined I would or could ever be. I currently serve as a counselor to the group of adult males within the congregation to meet the needs of families within the church and the community. I know that through service to others I find peace and love and my appreciation for all that my Savior has done for me becomes more apparent. I love being a Mormon.
