Hi I'm Leon

I’m a husband and father. I enjoy golfing, snowmobiling and riding motorcycles. I am a manager at work. I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the church in a small farm community. I learned the importance of hard work at a young age. I served a 2 year full time mission for the church when I was 19. I married my high school sweetheart shortly after my mission. I went to college and earned my bachelor’s degree while working full time. My wife and I have 5 children and 6 grandchildren. Our family is very important to us and our family time together is most precious. We were married in the temple by the priesthood authority of God. Through keeping covenants we made with each other and our Father in Heaven in the Temple, we can be together forever as a family. This knowledge brings us great joy in this life and provides us with a divine purpose to work towards.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The doctrines taught by the church have always resonated with me as pure and simple and true. I have studied them throughout my life and through the process of receiving revelation from God I have received many witnesses that they are true. I believe that God Loves each and every one of us, that there is a Prophet of God on Earth today, that the Bible and Book of Mormon are true and testify of Jesus Christ, and that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God through whom the Church was restored back to the earth in these latter days. I believe that the Priesthood Authority of God is real and exists in the Church today to administer sacred ordinances such as baptism and to bless the lives of Gods children on the earth. I believe in the mighty power of faith and that miracles have not ceased. I have witnessed many of them throughout my life. This has served to strengthen my faith. For any who struggle with a testimony of God, the path is clear of how to obtain a testimony and experience the peace and joy the Christ offers every one. Mormon.org is a great place to investigate the great plan Heavenly Father has for all of us and how we can experience the happiness and joy that is possible through his plan in this life and ever after.

How I live my faith

I try to treat others as I like to be treated. I heard a report on the radio of a small toddler falling from a window in a hotel one story to the sidewalk below. Several people walked by before anyone stopped to help. Showing support, empathy, love and kindness goes along ways and not only helps others but greatly blesses the life of the giver. The true measure of a man is not in what he does for himself but what he does for others.
