Hi I'm Luke

I'm a rock n' rollin', slow runnin' husband and father. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 27 years old. I have beautiful wife to whom I've been married almost six years now. And we have two very handsome boys. The oldest is three and the youngest is ten months. I am currently employed as a carpet cleaning technician. I enjoy music quite a bit. I listen to mostly rock like indie, classic, and some metal. If u looked at any of my play lists you could find anything from The Postal Service to Ozzy. In the past I played the drums for a band called Robot Strong. We never achieved great heights but we had a good time. I still have my drumset but sadly I haven't sat down at them for quite some time. Most life has gotten in the way of me playing. More recently I started running to try and stay fit. Last year I ran a marathon. It was as horrible as you think it would be. I haven't quite decided if I want to do one again or not.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family. So at first I was a Mormon because my family was Mormon. However, there comes a time when I had to for myself decide whether or not I actually believed what I was being taught. I can't remember everything but I at least believed enough to prepare to serve a mission. It was on my mission when I was reading The Book of Mormon that I felt a distinct impression an had a thought, almost a voice that said, "This is true. This all really happened." That moment I knew there was no going back and forth. No more sitting on the fence. From then on I was all in.

How I live my faith

I try to do the simple stuff. The day to day. Pray, go to church, and keep the commandments. I do have a calling to serve in the young men's presidency. I teach the 14-15 year olds on Sunday and help out on Wednesdays when they have activities.
