Hi I'm Megynn

I'm a chemistry/science nerd, a lover of the outdoors, a missionary in New Hampshire, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up hunting and fishing, my Dad was determined to share his love of the outdoors with me, and it worked, I love anything about outside, especially the mountains. Nothing beats the smell of pine trees. Right now I am going to school, majoring in nutrition, I love the science that goes into the food we eat, some may call me a nerd, but I am perfectly fine with that! I would love to go to medical school and serve those in less fortunate circumstances in South America or Africa. I had the opportunity to travel to Mozambique a while back and fell in love with the people who have nothing but love so much, so I want to be able to serve them in any way I can. I have the amazing opportunity to serve a mission in New Hampshire, and I LOVE it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the joy I feel when serving others and the joy I feel when I progress, and most importantly the joy I feel coming to know my Savior Jesus Christ. This church expects a lot from it's members, but in my eye, I think that is the beauty of it. There is no greater fulfillment than feeling like you mean something, that you are important, and that you have something wonderful to offer to those around you. We have the opportunity to come together and share our strengths and weaknesses, and help each other grow. Having high standards is will help us progress because of the self-discipline and commitment that you apply to all areas of your life. The support system of not only the church members, but also of the leadership in the church is so sincere, and the goal to lift each other is so important. Most of all, I am SO grateful that I know where I come from, who I can be, and who I can lean on, the Savior. I know that Jesus Christ came to this Earth and suffered for everyone of our sins, all this because he loves each and every one of us, he wants nothing more than to see us succeed, and to see us return again to God the Father. He loves to hear from us and to communicate with us, and so he puts modern prophets on this Earth to help us along the way, he knows there is only one plan of Happiness and only one way to return back. I am so grateful for the Lord's servant Joseph Smith, and I know that the Lord restored this gospel through him so we may have modern guidance in this life. I am so grateful to know that families can be together forever and the relationships we make here can be carried on for eternity. These blessings come through the Temple and I am so grateful to have that influence in my life. This church is true and has blessed my life more than I can even count or measure.

How I live my faith

As of right now, I am a full time missionary for 18 months. My purpose is to bring others closer to Jesus Christ by the restored gopsel through faith in Him and His atonement, repentence, baptism, recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. If you aren't quite sure what that all means, contact the missionaries, and we would love to share this message with you and help you come closer to Christ.
