Hi I'm Lindsey

I'm a Mormon. I grew up an episcopalian. I am a mother and wife who is grateful she has the gospel in her life.

About Me

When I met my husband he was a member and I was not. I had no idea he would end up giving me one the greatest gifts I could ever have...The Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My father passed away when I was very young. With my parents divorced it left just my mom and I. I only had one sibling, my older brother of 12 years. So I pretty much grew up an only child. I would always dream about what I wanted my family to be as I got older. My husband and I met very young and got married. We would go to church and I was still not a member. He was always so supporting and loving of me but when we would go to church I just always felt something different. Five months after we were married I called the missionaries myself and took the discussions. I wanted to see what this feeling really was. I was so grateful I did so. I am a very stubborn woman and grilled the missionaries for all they had! It was one of the best experiences of my life when I gained my testimony of the gospel. My baptism day was actually on my birthday which was an awesome experience. After I was baptized, all the wonderful feelings I was having just became one. I am so grateful I opened myself up to the gospel. It brings so much love and joy into my life on a daily basis and always gives me the sense of peace I might need in the difficult times.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a convert to the gospel. I knew the feeling I had when the gospel was not in my life and felt the feeling of when it was. I can't describe it in words. I am a mormon because it holds and brings my family together on a daily basis. The love and joy it brings to you is such an amazing feeling. To always have love and peace in your heart is so fulfilling. To know I can bring that into my home and give that to my family, mends for me the longing for a family that I felt as a child.

How I live my faith

I work with the cub scouts in my ward which is seriously such a fun and exciting calling. I get to work with these young boys who are just so excited for all the activities we do. We have so many wonderful fun activities at church which really hold everyone together as a big family. I know if I ever needed anything I could call my visiting teachers and they would be there. It is such a wonderful community of people that truly just always want to serve and help one another. My life would not be the same without it!
