Hi I'm Jeff Andersen

I'm married with 3 young children. I love to play basketball and watch college football. And yes, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married with 3 young children. I come from a large family of 8 siblings so it's no surprise that family has always been a big part of my life. However, as some of you know, raising young children is not an easy task but definitely worth it when looking at the bigger picture. I have both a bachelors and masters degree in Business Management and currently have the "dream job" of working with three of my siblings managing and investing in real estate. I love to play basketball and enjoy singing as well.

Why I am a Mormon

A few of the many reasons I'm a Mormon is because it brings me peace and happiness. Being Mormon brings me peace because I understand and know the purpose of this life. Even though life can be very confusing at times, knowing and understanding the "bigger picture" coupled with my faith in Jesus Christ helps me to not fear the uncertainty or the unknown. Jesus' plan is simple and easy to understand and to me, it just makes sense. Being Mormon brings me happiness and I know this through years of personal experience. Plain and simple: When I honestly and sincerely follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, I am happy.

How I live my faith

My faith is a big part of who I am and how I live my faith starts in the home. My wife and I have made it a priority to teach our faith to our children. This includes teaching them how to pray regularly and consistently, showing them that reading the scriptures (Bible and Book of Mormon) are a priority and teaching them to develop Christ-like qualities such as love, patience, treating others the way they want to be treated, etc. Outside of the home, I live my faith by worshiping with my family every Sunday at church. I also have opportunities to visit members of the church near my home and encourage them to practice their religion and commit themselves to come closer to Christ. Both inside and outside of the home, the best way for me to live my faith is to treat others the way I would like to be treated. This is a daily challenge but I know that being a member of the Mormon Church encourages me and helps me to do this more often.
