Hi I'm Russ Millard

I am am involved in investment real estate. I love to spent time with my family. I am an avid jet skier and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Our family organization focuses on investment real estate. We acquire properties and work to add value by enhancing each parcel’s unique functionality, productivity and profitability. I am able to spend time with my wife and kids, which is what I enjoy most. During the summers we play together. I enjoy taking my wave-runner and jumping the wakes behind large boats. I love the feeling of taking the jump and hitting the water and doing it again and again. I love tubing with my wife and kids and then getting together for a great meal. I gain fulfillment by working hard and serving.

Why I am a Mormon

I enjoy serving in the church. Presently, I serve as a councilor to our Stake President. I love being with the dedicated men and women in our Church that sacrifice their time and talents to make a difference in the lives of others. I really enjoy opportunities to work with young adults and have been given the privilege of teaching evening classes on Gospel topics. I find their energy and understanding renewing. I also love serving with the wonderful sisters of the Church. They truly move mountains by their faith and good works. I love reading, studying and teaching the Bible and Book of Mormon. I look to key doctrines and principles that I can apply in my life. I realize that I am not perfect but the love of the Savior makes every effort worthwhile.

How I live my faith

I love this Church. It is more than a Sunday event to me. Though I am far from the perfect follower of Christ, I know that by His grace, through faith, He heals and forgives me. The teachings of the Savior Jesus Christ motivate me to be better. Unfortunately, at times I fail to heed His divine counsel and to follow His commandments and suffer the consequences of my selfishness. But I have learned that when I apply the principles and doctrines taught in this Church and incorporate them into my life, I become a better person. Life is difficult. From everyday challenges to those terrible trials that seem almost overwhelming, the Gospel of Jesus Christ calms the storms of life, or even more importantly, the way I view and endure the storms. I have a conviction that Jesus Christ lives and that God our Eternal Father is real, and they love me and that my family can be eternal. I have come to understand that the trials of my life are necessary to refine me into a disciple of Christ.
