Hi I'm Gregory Clark

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 30 and just graduated the University of Colorado-Boulder with a double major in Political Science and History. I was born and raised in the Denver Metropolitan area. I became a born again Christian in elementary school and was baptized a Baptist when I was 12. My father was raised in the Methodist church and my mother was raised in the Roman Catholic church. I became a Mormon in St. George, Utah 2010. I had been investigating the LDS church at different levels off and on for over 5 years. Since I became a Mormon my life is much more centered and I'm able to make better choices for my life, and move on into my adult life. Jesus Christ continues to bless me, and I'm one proud Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I had an extremely spiritual experience with the Book of Mormon. I read it one time in Boulder, Colorado in 2005. The next time I read it was in St. George, Utah in 2010 and read one chapter that had a profound impact on me emotionally, mentally, and physically. That book being the book of Alma. At first it really freaked me out, I never fully could grasp the testament of the book of Mormon until I radically accepted the chapter of Alma. Once that happened I not only knew the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints was real, I knew that I had to do my best to straighten my life out for a number of reasons. After making past the book of Alma I read the entire Book of Mormon differently and my faith in Jesus Christ has a bedrock that can not be shaken. The missionaries and support I had, and accepting Joseph Smith and Brigham Young as prophets was one of the most amazing spiritual experiences of my life.

How I live my faith

Trying my best to do the next right thing, if it's being a citizen or a friend. The fortification of such core values of mine has really helped me put my best foot forward regardless of who I'm with or where I am. I have an appreciation for the concept of respect that I never knew or understood until I became a Mormon. The church is a center point of my weekly life, and Sunday has a new significance and meaning. As I move forward as a Mormon there are things that I can improve on as I get older and my faith has new order and focus. I have a new framework to develop my life within.

Are Mormons Christians?

Gregory Clark
Without a doubt Mormons are Christians, we believe in an additional testament about Jesus Christ. If you think about it Mormons base our faith in Jesus Christ on two substantial books, not just one. The church has a very real perspective on the life of faith in this world. Because of this, a higher degree of awareness about Jesus Christ has become part of the culture of the church.
