Hi I'm Lori

I am a wife and a mother to three crazy boys. I love to cook and read Jane Austen and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up the third of four girls, I never imagined my life would turn out to be all about boys. From sunrise to sunset our house is hopping. It is full of lightsabers, swords, toy guns, baseballs, basketballs, soccerballs, paintballs, and even a tetherball. The color pink is non-existent. The food of choice...pizza - of course. Luckily, my wonderful husband is there to help me navigate these unchartered territories of boyhood and I am loving every minute of it. It is very different from the world of Jane Austen, but that is what makes escaping into her world all the more enjoyable.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happy. It sounds overly simple, but it is true. I am a better person because of the church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in a lot of different ways. I believe it is not the big things that really define our faithfulness, but all the small things we do each and everyday. I believe that through selfless service we can truly be the answer to someone's prayer. In our church we have a women's organization called the Relief Society. The motto for Relief Society is "Charity Never Faileth". It is an army of faithful, amazing women who know who they are and where they are going. It is because of this knowledge that the women in our church go out and selflessly serve. Relief Society is a shoulder to cry on, a friend to laugh with, a warm meal to a sick neighbor, a ride to an appointment, and even the creation of a fun crafty decoration. It is this kind of love that is going to change the world for the better, one home at a time.
