Hi I'm Chris

I'm a college student. I enjoy fixing things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student working towards a degree in Computer Engineering. It feels like it's still a long way off, but I hope to graduate in a year and a half. I've been married for a year and a half and I love my wife. She's the best person I've ever met and I'm lucky to have her. We're expecting a baby boy in October! My wife's kept me busy getting ready for the baby......and we're super excited.

Why I am a Mormon

The Mormon principles are simple and just make sense to me. The gospel teaches me to be a good person, be honest and true, build a strong family, make good choices, help others, be a good neighbor and so much more. It also teaches me how I can be with my family forever, where I came from, and what happens to me when I die. I've seen how the gospel has helped my friends and family and it has helped me as well. God is loving and has blessed me greatly. I've prayed to Him and I know He listens. Through study, prayer, and experience I've learned that the doctrines taught in the Mormon church come from God and are true. I tend to worry about the future and what it holds. Whats going to happen to the economy? What's going happen in the stock market and to our currency? How can I help others who are in need? How can I raise kids who make good choices and are happy? Through personal revelation and revelation through a living prophet, I'm able to better answer and act on questions like these.

How I live my faith

My wife and I teach a class of young men and young women ages 12-14. Earlier this year I was an assistant scout master and helped scouts work towards earning their eagle rank. I often have opportunities to serve other congregation members and feel like we are a big family. There is always someone nearby I can call for help in case of an emergency. As far as how I live my religion, to me, it's become a way of life. It's who I am and doing the things I know are true make me happy. It really boils down to loving God and trusting His guidance.
