Hi I'm Christene

I'm a wife, a mother, a quad rider, a wakeboarder, a "keep up with my husband and kids" kind of mom...and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 4 kids. I enjoy days at the lake, trips to the sand dunes and anything involving spending time with my family. I enjoy working out daily, reading, and the talks on the driveway with neighbors and friends (when it is not blazing hot!). Having been a working Mom in years past, I enjoy being able to be a stay at home Mom and try to appreciate all of the moments with my kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because knowing that I am a Child of God gives me purpose. Knowing that there is a plan for me and my family to be together forever makes each day important. I love the scriptures. I love the instruction it gives me and the direction it gives me in raising my children, on how to be a Christ like person. I love that we have a living Prophet on the earth today. I am grateful that by following the teachings of Jesus Christ it can help us avoid so many of the hardships that people experience. I know that I make a difference. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that I can follow his example and help others. My family is everything to me and knowing that we can be together after this life is over, is such a blessing. I love that each Sunday I get to partake of the Sacrament.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be like my Savior. I serve in the women's organization of the church. With this responsibility it gives me the wonderful opportunity to get to know each of the women in our ward. I have developed such a love and appreciation for each of these wonderful women. I see how each one of us has trials that we face and how we keep going and trying our best to move forward. I see how important it is to stay close to our Savior. I love visiting teaching. I am grateful for the opportunities that our church gives us to serve one another, It is so wonderful to see so many women give so much so freely. From taking meals to the sick, cleaning homes for women on bed rest, phone calls, and letters. We are instructed to comfort those in need of comfort and mourn with those that mourn. It is an honor to spend time serving others and trying to do as the Savior would.
